Nordic Stone Cladding, Blue Diamond Z Panels, £52.39/m2
Stone cladding Z tiles and clad panels bring both contemporary and traditional character to residential and commercial walls. In a practical Z shape, with typical panel sizes of 550 x 200 x 30–50mm, they are widely used for external and dry stone walls, as well as grand halls and statement interiors. Split face tiles remain popular in living rooms, bathrooms and kitchen areas, and are a fashionable choice in boutiques, restaurants, fashion shops and more. They can create stunning visual effects in any setting. Some residential buildings also utilise economical split face tiles on external elevations, achieving remarkable aesthetic results at sensible cost. Click Video of Stone Cladding Workshop

Our natural stone cladding and natural stone wall panels come in various shapes, backing systems and sizes to meet the design preferences of UK customers. They provide a natural and authentic feel and are straightforward to install, whether you choose to do it yourself or work with professional builders. Stone cladding is a favourite choice for both residential properties and commercial sites.
Three Types of Natural Stone Cladding Systems
1. Mesh & Adhesive-Backed Stone Cladding
Lightweight panels with mesh and adhesive backing designed for easier installation and strong bonding. They are well suited to renovation projects, internal walls and areas where reduced labour time and flexible fixing are important.
2. Cement-Backed Exterior Stone Panels
Heavy-duty cladding panels with a cementitious backing, designed for exterior façades, boundary walls, extensions and other high-exposure outdoor applications. These systems provide additional stability and durability for long-term external use in the British climate.
3. Natural Stone Slips (Traditional Masonry Look)
Thin-cut natural stone slips offer the authentic appearance of full-depth stone at a lighter weight. They are perfect for cottages, barn conversions, porches, chimneys and heritage-style buildings where a traditional masonry look is required without the structural weight of full stone blocks.
Stone Cladding Manufactured in Our Own Factory
Paving Slabs UK imports natural stone cladding directly from our owned Westone factory. Since 2009, we have been producing and bringing these attractive and striking natural stone wall cladding options to the UK market, ensuring consistent quality and competitive pricing by removing unnecessary intermediaries.
We offer a range of stone cladding materials, including slate, quartz and granite. Available colours include oyster, buff, Nordic, rusty, multicolour, black and yellow. The finished face features a 3D natural cliff-face panel design, and panels are suitable for external walls, internal living rooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas and decorative background walls. Thickness options include 30–50mm, 7–11mm and 11–20mm. All cladding panels are flat bottomed with natural split edges and interlocking profiles for a seamless laid appearance.

Stone Cladding – Key Features
- 1. Seamless Interlocking Design: Z-shaped and interlocking edges ensure a tight, natural-looking joint and reduce visible lines between panels.
- 2. Versatile Application: Suitable for both external and internal walls and a practical alternative to traditional brickwork in many designs.
- 3. Complements Modern and Traditional Schemes: Works harmoniously with both contemporary and classic architecture, enhancing the character of any project.
- 4. Easy and Fast Installation: Factory-formed panels are quicker and easier to install than individual stones, saving time and labour on site.
- 5. Low Maintenance: Natural stone requires relatively little maintenance compared with many synthetic finishes, keeping the wall looking good for years.
- 6. Durability: Natural slate, quartz and granite offer long-lasting performance, standing up well to weathering and everyday wear.
Basic Installation Guidance
For installation, typical tools include a spirit level, measuring tape, notched spatula, bucket, sponge, stone cutter (professional guidance required), ready-to-use mortar or adhesive, rubber hammer, goggles and protective gloves. The usual process is to premix panels from different boxes, ensure a flat, clean and dry substrate, mark level lines at each course, apply adhesive to the wall and the back of the panel, start fixing from the bottom horizontal line, remove excess adhesive with a wet sponge, cut panels to size where required, and, for external work, apply an appropriate sealer or water-repellent if desired.
Whether for residential or commercial projects, our natural stone cladding and split face tiles help transform walls with lasting elegance and sophistication.
⚠️ Stone Cladding Fragment Detachment
Due to the inherent nature of external stone cladding, individual stone fragments may occasionally loosen from the main board. When installing the cladding panel onto the desired surface, these fragments can be easily reattached and are less prone to breakage once fixed. Claims for natural stone strips coming loose or detaching from the stone cladding panel will not be accepted, as this is regarded as a natural characteristic of stone cladding.

Samples Available and Policy
All stone cladding panels are manufactured by our parent company overseas, where we maintain strict quality control. If you wish to see the true colour, shade and texture, you may purchase a sample box. On each product page, the sample option is located at the bottom of the variant dropdown list. The sample box price covers warehouse handling and postage only.
Please note that all samples are non-returnable and non-refundable. As sample boxe is not reinforced like full crates and are shipped through standard parcel couriers, individual stone strips may separate from the backing panel during transit due to rough handling. This is regarded as a normal occurrence for sample dispatches and does not reflect the quality or integrity of the full cladding panels supplied on pallets.
FAQs – Stone Cladding
Are stone cladding Z panels suitable for exterior walls?
Yes. Our natural stone Z tiles and clad panels are suitable for both interior and exterior walls, including feature walls, façades, garden walls and boundary walls. Proper installation and adhesive selection are essential for long-term performance.
Do Z panels require sealing?
For exterior applications or areas exposed to moisture, sealing is recommended. Interior installations may not require sealing unless used in kitchens or bathrooms.
Can stone cladding be installed by DIY homeowners?
Yes. Panels are designed for straightforward installation. However, for exterior façades or complex layouts, professional installation is advisable.
Are the colours consistent across all panels?
As natural stone products, colour variation is expected and contributes to their authentic appearance. We recommend pre-mixing panels from multiple boxes during installation.
Do you provide samples before ordering?
Yes. Sample boxes are available on each product page. Samples are non-returnable and non-refundable. Due to parcel courier handling, individual stone strips may detach from the backing panel during transit; this is normal for sample dispatches and does not reflect the quality of full pallet deliveries.
